Sam Lee – CEO and Chairman of Prospect Medical Holdings
Drawing upon more than 30 years of executive-level healthcare leadership in diverse settings, Sam Lee is the CEO and chairman of the board of Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc. (PMH). He has been with the company since 2007, following a merger between PMH and Alta Hospitals, Inc., which he co-founded and served as CEO. As the chief executive of PMH, Sam Lee oversees a portfolio of 17 acute care and behavioral health hospitals in New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and California, plus 165 outpatient clinics.
Committed to delivering quality and compassionate care at each of PMH's facilities, Mr. Lee has overseen several facility improvements and upgrades. PMH's Southern California Hospital at Culver City recently opened a new cardiac catheterization lab to accommodate the growing need for treatment options for those with heart disease in West Los Angeles. The hospital is also the only in Los Angeles to provide joimax® endoscopic spine surgery and has opened the Transgender Surgery Center of California to make gender confirmation surgery more accessible.
Mr. Lee was a partner at the healthcare and technology venture capital firm Kline Hawkes & Co. before co-founding Alta Hospitals. His three-plus decades of healthcare experience involves operations in healthcare software development, healthcare and technology private equity, entrepreneurship for various corporations, and revenue cycle management.
Complementing his experience, Sam Lee holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor of science in engineering from Georgia Tech. He is also a member of the Young Presidents' Organization and, in the past, has served on the boards of the Hospital Association of Southern California, California Science Center, and the I Have a Dream Foundation.
